Rare and rare earth metals (RM and REM) and their compounds have a unique set of physical and chemical properties, and are widely used in instrument making, mechanical engineering and metallurgy, nuclear energy, electronics, optics, chemical and glass industries, producing various phosphors, as well as  in agriculture and medicine.

RM and REM are used as main materials for important details and components of complex equipment. It is impossible to create modern engines and turbines, superconducting materials, medical equipment, powerful compact permanent magnets, supercomputers, aerospace engineering, catalysts and batteries without them.

REM projects

The current situation on the global market for rare earth metals has begun implementing worldwide REM projects that were previously considered uneconomic.

Tantalum - niobium and beryllium production deployed on the Ulba Metallurgical Plant, and is among the largest in the world.
