PRELIMINARY UNAUDITED CONSOLIDATED STATEMENTS 2005

For the period in question the consolidated profit from production sales increased by 39% compared to the year 2004, and amounted to 51,108,945 thousand Kazakh Tenge (KZT). Input from different production centers is as follows:

- Uranium 56,76% (or 29,010,403 thousand KZT)

- Beryllium 6,35%   (or 3 242 941 thousand KZT)

- Tantalum, Niobium, and HF Acid 6,15% (or 3,141,901 thousand KZT)

- Power Generation 2,123% (or 10,851,750 thousand KZT)

Profit from export increased by 51% as compared to 2004 and account for some 70% of the total sales. Production cost totaled 32,562,363 thousand KZT, increased by 9%, administrative expenses amounted to 7,937,913 thousand KZT, 24% increase.

With the internal turnover Kazatomprom’s consolidated net profit amounted to 11,722,446 thousand KZT. A significant impact on the company’s net profit occurred due to the recognition of a negative goodwill of 9,217,218 thousand KZT.
