Mr. Vladimir Shkolnik, the Chairman of the Board of NAC Kazatomprom JSC, Mr.Daniyar Abulgazin and Mr. Zhandos Abishev, the Managing Directors of Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund and Mr. Bolat Aliyev, Akim deputy of South-Kazakhstan oblast will attend this opening ceremony.  

Demeu-Taukent medical unit enters into Kazatomprom from January 2004.

The new pavilion for village medical unit was constructed and repaired. On the basis of old medical building the construction of kindergarten is expected to be carried out.

More than KZT 509 mln. was spent for the program for reconstruction of Taukent medical unit including about KZT 66 mln. allocated for modern medical equipping of sick-rooms.

At the medical unit the out-patient clinic designed for 100 sick-calls per a shift, hospital for 40 beds, clinical laboratory, ambulance station are opened as well as well-equipped physiotherapeutic, massage and roentgen rooms, with possibility to conduct echographia and electrocardiography with their own equipment..

Practically all types of medical service including general surgery, gynecology, pediatry, stomatology, etc. are provided in the Medical unit.

Demeu-Taukent medical unit is the only one in the village and provides services for more than 6000 residents of Taukent and vicinity.

The opening ceremony will be culminated with awarding of medical unit employees with Merit certificates and Letters of thanks on behalf of Kazatomprom, Kazatomprom-Demeu social company, Akimats of South-Kazakhstan oblast and Suzak region in honor of professional holiday – Day of Medical Workers.

The development of public health service is one of the important activities highlighted by Nursultan Nazarbayev, the Head of Kazakhstan in its Message to the people of Kazakhstan. Kazatomprom fully supports the initiatives of the President of the country.

The main lines of social activity of Kazatomprom include construction, rehabilitation and development of social infrastructure, public health, culture and sports support as well as landscaping and planting.
