Press Release on Summer School 2007
31.05.2007Today, 31st of May, 2007, in Almaty city, over 100 young specialists and scientists of atomic branch of the Republic of Kazakhstan and countries of close and far abroad, have completed their study in regular “Summer School “New Knowledge and Management Skills for Activity Improvement”, organized by the National Atomic Company (NAC) “Kazatomprom” with participation of Kazakhstan Nuclear University (affiliated company).
“Annual holding of “Summer School” is directly related to strategic objectives and goals of atomic power engineering of Kazakhstan, which needs young specialists. Due to this, we are actively dealing with preparation and attraction of highly qualified personnel to the branch, - announced Mukhtar Jakishev, the president of “Kazatomprom”.
Targets of “Summer School” are: upgrading scientific and technical qualification of young specialists and scientists of “Kazatomprom” enterprises in the field of technological and ecological issues; enhancement of interaction with cognate scientific organizations and universities of Kazakhstan and foreign countries; information, knowledge and experience exchange among the specialists of all enterprises of the Company.
In 2006 “Kazatomprom” has allotted over 170 mln tenge for the specialists’ study and qualification upgrade, in 2007 approximately 320 mln are planned to be assigned for these targets.
The best innovation projects were selected for participation in the Summer School, prepared by potential school listeners – creatively thinking young specialists and scientists of “Kazatomprom”.
In the course of “Summer School” all main issues of the world nuclear and fuel cycle were considered, as well as radio-ecological issues of nuclear power engineering, innovation nuclear-energetic systems, herewith the innovation development aspects of “Kazatomprom” were emphasized. Also, educative trainings were held regarding development of the leader’s qualities, time management, efficient communications and public rhetoric art. According to the Summer School program participants were provided with info on some actual problems of atomic branch, within nine days (Summer School lasted from 21 to 31 of May, 2007) these issues were discussed, adopted decisions thereof have been subject to discussion in Round Tables. Apart from these problems the Round Table considered contest projects of young specialists and scientists. Competent Jury has selected the best works and the authors have been awarded.
Lectures were read by famous scientists from Russia Turayev N.S. (TPU, Tomsk city), Noskov М.D. and Makasseyev А.Yu.(SGTA, Seversk city), Artisyuk V.V. (OGTUAE, Obninsk city), chiefs of holding and NAK “Kazatomprom” enterprises and leading branch specialists. Trainings were held by the group of tutors under auspices of Tsyganenko М., the President of Business-Coaches’ Club of Kazakhstan.
