Press Release: Pre-Export Financing Agreement to the amount of USD$ 150 Million

On June 17, 2005, a ceremony of execution of Pre-Export Financing Agreement to the amount of USD$ 150 Mio between National Atomic Company Kazatomprom and syndicate of 11 international banks was held in Paris (France) in the head office of Natexis Banques Populaires.

Natexis Banques Populaires acting as Co-ordinating Mandated Lead Arranger and CITIBANK N.A. (“CITIBANK”) as Mandated Lead Arranger are the arrangers of the syndicated loan facility.

The obtained funds Kazatomprom intends to use to finance its production and export of natural uranium concentrate (U3O8) and to support the exploration and development of its uranium mines. The facility will be extended over a 3-year.

This transaction is the first international syndicated loan in favour of KAZATOMPROM and paves the way for further growth of the Company in line with its expansion plans in the uranium market.
