On May 25, 2005, an exhibition of winners of competition of children's and junior's illustrations  on  theme "Territory of Peace" will be held in Almaty, in head office of National Atomic Company "Kazatomprom".

The Action "Territory of Peace" has already become traditional large-scale event timed to "The Day of Protection of Children" and is being held as corporative exhibition-competition of artistic creativity among children and grandchildren of Kazatomprom's employees, its departments, affiliates, joint ventures and subsidiaries. The Exhibition Competition Commission chooses the best illustrations.

A number of participants in exhibition increase year by year. This year, more than 1000 junior artists take part in the competition. 

On June 1, 2005, the exhibition winners will participate in painting of fence of Ulba Metallurgical Plant in Ust-Kamenogorsk. According to the Company opinion, children's illustrations on the Plant's fence are highly symbolic. They embody the absolute conversion of Ulba Metallurgical Plant which once manufactured products for military-industrial complex of the former Soviet Union, to peaceful production.

This year, 28 children of age from 4 to 17 years from Kyzylordinskaia, Mangystauskaia, Akmolinskaia, Almatinskaia oblasts, South and East Kazakhstan where National Atomic Company has its affiliates will paint their pictures on the fence.

Ulba Metallurgical Plant is subsidiary unit of National Atomic Company "Kazatomprom", where "Kazatomprom" owns 90% of its shares, is specialized is manufacturing of goods for nuclear, aerospace, electrical engineering and instrument-making industry. The Plant is a main producer of low-enriched uranium pellets for VVER and RBMK reactors, and also diversified beryllium, tantalum and niobium products, fluoric acid.
