Press Release: The Summer School for Young Specialists and Scientists 2005
30.05.2005ON REALIZATION OF THE SUMMER SCHOOL FOR YOUNG SPECIALISTS AND SCIENTISTS “NEW KNOWLEDGE, INNOVATIONAL PROJECTS AND RESEARCH PROGRAMS FOR THE NUCLEAR INDUSTRY FACILITIES OF KAZAKHSTAN AND COUNTRIES OF CENTRAL ASIA
Within the period since May 31 to June 10, 2005 the Summer School for young specialists and scientists “New knowledge, innovational projects and research programs for the nuclear industry of Kazakhstan and countries of Central Asia” will be carried out in Almaty.
Realization of the Summer School is carried out within the frames of the general strategy of the company in the sphere of training of the staff and provision of the nuclear industry with highly qualified personnel and development of the science. This arrangement is designated for involving of young specialists into this field and stimulation of innovational activity.
The Summer School targets the aims on increase of scientific and technical qualification of young scientists and scientific enterprises of the Company in technological and ecological problems; increase in the interaction with related scientific organizations and universities of Kazakhstan and foreign countries; information knowledge and experience sharing between the specialists of different facilities of NAC Kazatomprom. More than 50 young specialists from the daughter enterprises and joint ventures of NAC Kazatomprom will participate in the School.
Nearly all principal problems of the world nuclear fuel cycle will be considered within the Summer School of NAC Kazatomprom and the innovational development of the company’s facilities will be focused on.
Famous scientists from Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (USA), Institute for Roentgen Optics (Russia), The Vernadsky Institute of Geochemistry and Analytical Chemistry (Russia), managers of Kazakh Agency of nuclear power, National innovation fund of the Republic of Kazakhstan, managers of the holding and enterprises of NAC Kazatomprom were invited for lecturing.
Different trainings, round-tables and other arrangements are planned besides of lectures. It is supposed that summer schools will be carried out on the annual basis in future.
