JSC NAC Kazatomprom participates in the 36th WNA Symposium

Delegation of the National Atomic Company Kazatomprom headed by the Deputy Chairman of the Board, Mr. Yashin Sergey, is taking part in the 36th Annual Symposium of the World Nuclear Association to be opened today in London.
The WNA Symposium is one of the most authoritative forums of the world nuclear industry. During the period of September 14-16, 2011 more than 700 specialists from all sectors of the industry from 30 countries will come together to discuss the topical issues of the nuclear power development. In the plenary sessions of the WNA symposium which this year is devoted to the Future of Nuclear Power, representatives of leading nuclear companies will discuss the global tasks which the nuclear community faces: safety of nuclear stations, new technologies in reactor construction, development of NFC pre-reactor cycle.
In the exhibition which traditionally takes place in the Central Hall Westminster-CHW as a part of the forum, Kazatomprom will present its information stand along with expositions of the leading nuclear companies.
Negotiations of Kazatomprom representatives with its current and potential business partners are planned to be held in the course of the symposium.
NOTE. Kazatomprom is a member of the WNA since 1993. The World Nuclear Association is the global private-sector organization seeks to promote peaceful worldwide use of nuclear power as a sustainable energy resource for the coming centuries. Specifically, the WNA is concerned with nuclear power generation and all aspects of the nuclear fuel cycle, including mining, conversion, enrichment, fuel fabrication, plant manufacture, transport, and the safe disposition of spent fuel. The WNA serves its Members by facilitating their interaction on technical, commercial and policy matters and by promoting wider public understanding of nuclear technology. WNA actively cooperates with the International Atomic Energy Agency.
