Kazatomprom Delegation Participates In The 35 WNA Symposium

The delegates from Kazatomprom National Atomic Company headed by the Chairman of the Board, Mr. Vladimir Shkolnik, are taking part in the 35th Annual Symposium of the World Nuclear Association to be opened today in London.
For the last 35 years the WNA Symposium has been oneof the most influential forums of the world nuclear industry. More than 700 specialists from all industry sectors from 30 countries will come together to discuss the topical issues of the nuclear power development.
 
In the plenary sessions of the WNA symposium which this year is devoted to Nuclear Renaissance, representatives of the key nuclear states will discuss the global tasks the nuclear community meets with. These are the main topics of the discussion: “Nuclear industry further development”, “Building of nuclear markets infrastructure”, “Current development of the advanced part of fuel cycle”, “Nuclear industry long-term stability”, “Analysis of the practical aspects of new nuclear power plants construction”. In the second session of the forum the vice-president of Kazatomprom, Mr. Galimjan Pirmatov, will speak on the development of nuclear industry in Kazakhstan.
 
In the exhibition which traditionally takes place in the Central Hall Westminster-CHW as a part of the forum, Kazatomprom will present its exposition.
 
In addition, negotiations of Kazatomprom with its current and potential business partners are planned to be held in the course of the symposium.

Kazatomprom has been a WNA member since 1993. The World Nuclear Association is the global private-sector organization that seeks to promote the peaceful worldwide use of nuclear power as a sustainable energy resource for the coming centuries. Specifically, the WNA is concerned with nuclear power generation and all aspects of the nuclear fuel cycle, including mining, conversion, enrichment, fuel fabrication, plant manufacture, transport, and the safe disposition of spent fuel.
