Innovative projects of Kazakhstan companies are presented at the exhibition held in the framework of Forum “Innovative Kazakhstan – looking into the future after 20 years of independence”, with the participation of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev. On December 6, during the Forum, the results of the Republican competition of innovative projects are to be summarized.
 

NAC Kazatomprom JSC presented a number of scientific and technical developments “Creation, approbation and implementation of innovations in the nuclear sector of Kazakhstan” aimed at energy and resources saving.
 

The project includes the innovative developments on optimization and improvement of methods and equipment of ISL technologies at mining facilities of NAC Kazatomprom JSC.
 

Approbation of the presented innovative developments is carried out at test technological field created on the basis of Institute of High Technologies LLP. Further implementation of these developments at uranium mining facilities will help to drastically decrease the production cost of uranium mining.
 

During the presentation of the project the Chairman of the Management Board of NAC Kazatomprom JSC Vladimir Shkolnik noted that the company has already started implementing the scientific and technical developments at holding’s enterprises.
 

Particularly, at Akdala mine (Betpak Dala LLP) 4 thousand tons of natural uranium concentrates were received under the new technology of peroxide precipitation.
 

Kazatomprom also presented innovations in the sphere of technological wells clean up. Mobile installations developed at the company allow quickly, with good quality and without detriment to the environment, carrying out the scheduled works on the development and repair of wells at uranium mining facilities.
 

One more innovative direction in Kazatomprom is pilot productions (lines) on by-product recovery of rare and rare earth metals (rhenium, scandium oxide and other) during the in-situ leaching. The results of the research carried out at industrial units aroused interest of the leading foreign companies.
 

Creation of radically new and present-day productions in uranium sector will allow the Republic of Kazakhstan reaching higher level in the issues of competitiveness of economics and transfer technologies.
