Mining Company
Mining Company is a 100% owned subsidiary company of Kazatomprom. The company was established in 2004 for uranium mining by the in-situ leaching method.
The activity of Mining Company includes geological exploration, mining and reprocessing of uranium bearing and other mineral resources, export and import of nuclear materials and equipment, transportation of nuclear materials, engineering and marketing services and development of cooperation between nuclear fuel enterprises and various foreign nuclear power complexes.

- Information Processing Centre – an affiliated branch of Mining Company. Services for accounting and information processing.
- Transport Trade Company LLP. Transport services, cargo transportation.
- Energoservice LLP. Heat energy production, transfer and distribution of heat and power energy, water management and sewer system services.
- Remmontazhservice LLP. Main line connection and interblock connection of polygons, repair-mechanical services, production of nonstandard equipment and spare parts and scheduled preventive maintenance.
- Geotechnoservice LLP. Development of mining work plans for joint ventures and geophysical research.
- “Control, analysis, metrology” Service Center LLP
In 2008 Mining Company was charged with responsibility for realization of the “15 000 U, MT by 2010” program by the uranium mining enterprises of the Kazatomprom Holding Company. For this purpose Kazatomprom transferred, to Mining Company, part of its management functions in respect to the following uranium mining enterprises:
- JV Akbastau JSC;
- Appak LLP;
- Baiken-U LLP;
- JV Betpak Dala LLP;
- Kazakh-Russian-Kyrgyz JV Zarechnoye JSC;
- JV Inkai LLP;
- JV Katko LLP;
- Karatau LLP;
- Kyzyzlkum LLP;
- Semizbai-U LLP;
- Ken Dala.KZ JSC.
Under subsoil use contracts the company has undertaken liability for financing the development of the social sphere of the subsoil use settlements Taukent and Kyzemshek in South Kazakhstan and Kok-Shoky in the Kyzylorda region. Mining Company also bears the expenses for the maintenance of the social economic infrastructure vital for creation of favorable life conditions for employees living in settlements on uranium mining enterprise sites.
3,500 people are presently employed by the company.
