The Kazakhstan Nuclear University

The Kazakhstan Nuclear University is a special-purpose center for professional training and retraining of personnel from the National atomic company Kazatomprom.

Mission:

• To meet the needs of Kazatomprom enterprises for qualified specialists trained in the context of the nuclear sphere specific character;
• To ensure the constant, goal-oriented process of personnel development according to the educational standards, requirements and strategic purposes of the Kazatomprom.

The University has state license № 0001860 dated 21.04.2008, issued by the Atomic Energy Committee of the Ministry for Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, for conducting advanced training of specialists and personnel in the following spheres:

1. Advanced training of specialists on the subject “Radiation protection and safety”;

2. Training and advanced training of specialists on the subject “Dosimetrist”.

The KNU educational web-portal

The educational web-portal of the University is an inter-net working zone for all employees of Kazatomprom. The aim of the portal is to provide more effective and mobile work. The Portal’s web-address is: http://www.knu.kz/portal/

At present KNU can boast a highly professional, like-minded staff able to decide almost any task in the sphere of training of cadres for Kazatomprom whether it be advanced training of working staff or primary training of qualified specialists in scientific-research work and projects.
