The Head of State held a meeting with the CEO of Kazatomprom

The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was informed about Kazatomprom’s operational results for the year 2023, and the Company’s short- and medium-term goals and plans.

Meirzhan Yussupov, Kazatomprom’s CEO, has reported that the Company’s 2023 uranium production and sales volumes amounted to more than 21,000 and 18,000 tonnes respectively. The share of transportation through the Trans-Caspian International Transportation Route in 2023 has increased significantly, accounting for 64% of all shipments of uranium from Kazakhstan to the Western countries.

The Head of State was briefed about the ongoing investment projects of Kazatomprom’s group of companies and socially significant projects aimed at the social and economic development and support of the Company’s regions of presence.

The Head of State was also informed about the ongoing work and plans on expansion and replenishment of the mineral resource base.

Concluding the meeting, the President of Kazakhstan gave a number of tasks aimed at improving Kazatomprom’s performance.
