During the meeting Askar Zhumagaliyev reported to the President on the results of the national atomic company inside 9 months of 2016.
The President of Kazakhstan noted the big share of the sector’s production in the world market.
- Our goal is in participating in all processes of the full nuclear fuel cycle. It is necessary to increase the level of cooperation in this sphere with other countries, Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
The Head of State also placed greater focus on the issue of siphoning off the non-core assets and carrying-out the transformation program.
The national atomic company’s Board Chairman informed the President of Kazakhstan about the completion of feasibility study for building a plant within the Ulba Metallurgical Plant area and the start of needed equipment production.
In addition, A. Zhumagaliyev reported on the agreements and contracts inked the current year with foreign partners, as well as on the siphoning off 26 non-core assets.
Following the meeting the Head of State has given a number of specific orders.
