In April 2024, employees of Volkovgeology JSC joined efforts to eliminate the aftermath of severe floods in the West Kazakhstan and Atyrau regions. A dedicated team of 20 specialists and 10 units of heavy equipment was dispatched to the affected areas to assist in recovery work. The initiative was supported on a voluntary basis by the Company’s branches — GRE-5, GRE-23, and Ontustik VG.
Volkovgeology JSC places great emphasis on social responsibility and community support. The Company’s employees actively engage in volunteer and charitable initiatives, one of the most notable being the “Donor Day” campaign.
Since the beginning of 2024, employees have donated more than 92 litres of blood to the Republican Blood Center, making a real contribution to saving lives. Many have become regular donors, understanding how vital such help can be for people in need. This initiative not only strengthens the country’s donor movement but also reflects the Company’s strong commitment to humanitarian values.
In celebration of Children’s Day on 1 June, a series of festive events for employees’ children were organized at Volkovgeology’s geological exploration expeditions with the support of the Company’s trade union. The day featured performances by entertainers, theatre shows, flash mob dances, as well as national and intellectual games such as chess, asyk atu, and a drawing contest. All children received gifts and toys, while the winners were awarded special prizes.
In December 2024, the Company purchased 8,500 New Year’s gifts for employees’ children, totalling KZT 39,022,650. The GRE-23 branch took part in holiday events for children with disabilities at the Regional Rehabilitation Center No. 3 in Shieli district and Secondary School No. 255, presenting them with New Year’s gifts. The GRE-5 branch congratulated students from Gani Muratbayev School in Syzygan village, Sozak district, from low-income families, and gave them memorable presents. To crown the celebrations, the Company’s trade union committee, together with the regional philharmonic ensemble, organized a New Year performance at the “Arman” cultural centre for more than 600 children of employees aged 5 to 8.
