During the state visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, to Mongolia, National Atomic Company “Kazatomprom” and mongolian company “Mon-Atom” agreed on strategic cooperation, which provides new opportunities for the uranium industries of both countries.
“One of the significant results of the Head of State’s visit to Mongolia was the agreement to establish a partnership between Kazatomprom and Mon-Atom. The opportunities for implementing joint projects will allow us to combine resources and exchange experience and technologies, which will increase the efficiency and safety of uranium exploration and production. We strive for environmentally friendly and safe development of the industry and are confident that this partnership will help to strengthen the positions of Kazakhstan and Mongolia in the international arena,” said Meirzhan Yussupov, CEO of NAC Kazatomprom JSC.
Kazakhstan, the world’s leader in uranium production, aims to further strengthen its positions, and the partnership with Mon-Atom is an important milestone in this direction. New cooperation creates prospects for implementing joint projects in uranium exploration and mining in Mongolia, allowing both parties to strengthen their positions in the uranium industry. Furthermore, this partnership highlights the companies’ commitment to sustainable development as an integral part of the economic progress of the countries.
The companies plan to expand cooperation in the future and to consider a possibility of implementing joint initiatives aimed at strengthening the positions of Kazatomprom and Mon-Atom in the international uranium market.
