Kazatomprom’s IZBASAR Young Professionals Development Programme placed third in the “Next Generation” category at the EMBRAS-2026 International Awards. Ceremony took place on 23 October in Tashkent as part of an international HR Summit, which brought together HR experts and talent management professionals from Central Asia, the CIS, and Europe.
This year, the awards received 77 project submissions from 36 companies across five countries. The entries were evaluated by an international jury consisting of 29 experts from 25 countries. The “Next Generation” category recognises projects aimed at the professional development of young professionals and students.
The IZBASAR Programme has been implemented at Kazatomprom since 2020. Its objective is to build a talent pool and prepare future leaders for the uranium industry.
In 2026, the seventh cohort of the programme was launched, attracting more than 900 applications. The selection process spanned five stages, culminating in the selection committee naming the finalists.
Each year, selected IZBASAR specialists undergo three five-month professional rotations across the Company’s subsidiaries and affiliates. Each young specialist is assigned a mentor, and an individual development plan guides them in consistently building their professional competencies.
Notably, the EMBRAS-2026 recognition marks the second professional award for the IZBASAR Programme. Just a month earlier, the programme also received a prize at the national “HR 4 People” Award.
Both achievements underscore the value of Kazatomprom’s systematic efforts to developing young talent and strengthening the human capital potential of the uranium industry.
