In Astana, the Chairman of the Management Board of Samruk-Kazyna NWF JSC Mr. Umirzak Shukeyev and members of Kazatomprom Board of Directors met with the staff of national atomic company.
The Head of Samruk-Kazyna expressed his heartfelt condolences to the family, relatives and colleagues in regard to untimely demise of Kazatomprom CEO – Nurlan Dzhambulovich Kapparov.
«Nurlan Dzhambulovich worked not so long for the company. But he started to work here very intensively and efficiently, to do proper, systematic things. He had his plans, transformation program that we had discussed. It is a big loss, really sorry when such an amazing, successful, full of plans and enthusiasm personality is leaving us. Those who dedicated their lives to the service and the prosperity of our country," said Umirzak Shukeyev.
Recalling him, the Head of the Fund noted that Nurlan Dzhambulovich had ambitious plans – to put Kazatomprom in the forefront, become a global company, to turn into a trendsetter company in the world uranium market.
«I want to express my condolences to everybody, we will never forget Nurlan Dzhambulovich, and he will be always with us. We have a big company, employing up to 30 thousand people here. Thus, we need to mobilize our efforts; we need to continue daily work and carry out started by him initiatives. Today, I'd like to ask you that nevertheless to the grief and sorrow we have to summon up and manage the company, to ensure everyday work of the company, to discuss and solve the main issues which were highlighted by Nurlan Dzhambulovich”, - outlined Umirzak Shukeyev
Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Vladimir Shkolnik who chairs the Board of Directors of NAC Kazatomprom, also expressed deepest condolences to Nurlan Kapparov’s family and relatives. He noted that all plans of the company and assigned tasks will be realized and put forward.
After the meeting the Board of Directors at the special meeting decided to appoint the Deputy Chairman of the Board for Economics and Finance of Kazatomprom, Aydar Arifhanov, as the Interim Chairman of the Management Board of the Company.
Kazatomprom’s Board of Directors will appoint the Chief Executive Officer of National Atomic Company upon consultation and approval by the Prime-Minister and the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
