Expanding new opportunities: Kazatomprom launches Murager and IZBASAR educational programs

“Kazatomprom pays special attention to the development of the regions of its presence by improving the quality and accessibility of education for the local population. Our strategy is aimed to create an intellectual environment  that promotes qualified and educated youth. Murager and IZBASAR programs are in place to implement the above strategy,” said Meirzhan Yussupov, CEO of NAC Kazatomprom JSC.

NAC Kazatomprom JSC launches the Murager and IZBASAR programs aimed to support active youth - applicants, college graduates and first-year students in the regions of the company's presence, as well as young employees of the nuclear holding.

This year, the Murager program of educational grants for school and college graduates, as well as 1st, 2nd and 3rd courses of colleges and universities is expanding its coverage, and operates in Akmola, Kyzylorda, Turkestan and East Kazakhstan regions.

The grant provided by the company covers the cost of 1 year of study at technical universities and colleges in Kazakhstan (full list on the project website) in such priority technical areas for the nuclear industry as uranium production and extraction, geological exploration, nuclear fuel cycle, scientific activities, energy, ecology and environmental protection (HSE).

As a result of successful studies, program participants who have confirmed the required level of annual academic performance (GPA) will be able to continue their studies under the Murager educational grant in the next academic year.

Applications are accepted from 22 May to 14 August 2024 on https://murager.kazatomprom.kz  website and on the program's page on Instagram @muragerprogram, where more detailed information is provided.

At the same time, Kazatomprom focuses on the development of skills, competencies and professional growth.

The company is launching a competitive selection for IZBASAR, the development program for the young specialists, which will be held both among internal candidates from among the company's young employees and among external participants – graduates of higher educational institutions of Kazakhstan.

As part of the program, young specialists are rotated through a group of companies, which allows them to develop their professional skills and adopt best practices in new directions. It should be noted that for external participants, the internship will be paid, which is a significant bonus for recent graduates.

Also, starting this year, the specialty "economics and finance" will be added to the priority areas - uranium production and extraction, geological exploration, nuclear fuel cycle, scientific activities, IT and cybersecurity, ecology and environmental protection, HR and marketing.

The recruitment of candidates for the IZBASAR 2024 program will take place from 31 May to 30 June on the project's website https://izbasar.kazatomprom.kz/ru.
