Askar Zhumagaliyev, Kazatomprom CEO, had a meeting with Kazakhstani graduates of MEPhI National Research Nuclear University, the leading Russian institute, which trains the qualified specialists for nuclear industry. All students studied the industry-oriented specialties due to the grants of the national atomic company.
Askar Zhumagaliyev congratulated the graduates with successful graduation. During the meeting the Head of Kazatomprom discussed with young professionals the development of the industry, interested in the features of educational system and their plans for the future.
Askar Zhumagaliyev noted that the new development strategy of the company places high emphasis on the personnel policy. In order to achieve successful results Kazatomprom needs qualified professionals.
- I am glad, that there are another five certified professionals, whom Kazatomprom is required today. I hope that you will be able to put into practice the lessons learned and will contribute to the development of the nuclear industry and the country in whole. We have great expectations of you, the future of the company depends on your competitiveness”, - told Askar Zhumagaliyev.
According to the Head of Kazatomprom, the company formed the personnel reserve for engaging the professionals. Besides, in the coming years a portion of engineering personnel will be increased in the staff of the company. As a result of the meeting, Askar Zhumagaliyev ordered the chiefs of business subdivisions to employ all graduates in the system of national atomic company.
Today 318 students study at the expense of Kazatomprom in colleges and universities of Kazakhstan and Russia. 17 of them go into higher education in MEPhI NRNU. The Company pays students a stipend, tuition, accommodation and insurance. In 2015, additionally 5 students will be educated in the leading nuclear university on grants of Kazatomprom.
