Kazatomprom transfers 14 social facilities to the Akimats of Kyzylorda and South-Kazakhstan regions

NAC Kazatomprom JSC transferred 14 social facilities, built on its own account, to Akimats of Kyzylorda and South-Kazakhstan regions for communal ownership. By the end of the current year, five more social facilities are to be placed on the books of local executive bodies.

During the working trip to Kyzylorda region the CEO of NAC Kazatomprom JSC Askar Zhumagaliyev noted that non-core assets are transferred under the instruction of the Head of the State in order to enhance the efficiency and economic performances of the Company.

Transfer of social facilities, significant for population and located in the uranium-mining regions, is carried out under the Memorandums of cooperation in social and economic development of the regions for 2015-2016, executed between the Company and local executive bodies.

As of today, six socially significant facilities have been placed on the books of the Akimat of Kyzylorda region, including the kindergarten for 280 children, cultural center, sports complex and hotel.

«We transfer all these facilities built by Kazatomprom in different years to the Akimat on a grant basis. But we committed ourselves to maintain them in 2015-2016», underlined Askar Zhumagaliyev during the ceremony of assets transfer.

In his turn, the Akim of Kyzylorda region Krymbek Kusherbayev thanked the staff of Kazatomprom for the contribution to the social development of the region.  

It should be noted that a month ago the company handed over eight social facilities to the Akimat of South-Kazakhstan region.

Besides, in 2015 NAC Kazatomprom JSC financed the construction of social facility in South-Kazakhstan region to the amount of KZT 800 mln. and gave KZT 800 mln. for the social and economic development of Kyzylorda region. In 2016, the Company
