JV Southern Mining and Chemical Company LLP (“SMCC”) actively supports the principles of corporate social responsibility, directing its efforts to improving the quality of life in the regions of its presence. The company's charitable and sponsorship projects are aimed at supporting socially vulnerable groups of the population, helping children and veterans, as well as participating in key social and cultural events.
2024 Progress Report
In 2024, the company allocated KZT 10,274,000 for the implementation of social and charitable projects.
* Support for mothers: In honor of International Women's Day, March 8, SMCC provided charitable assistance to mothers in the village of Kyzyemshek in Suzak district, who were awarded the Altyn alka (“Golden badge”) and Kumis alka (“Silver badge”).
* Memory and respect for veterans: On May 10, on the eve of the Victory Day, charitable assistance was provided to veterans of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, as well as the Tajik-Afghan and Afghan wars, living in the village of Kyzyemshek.
* Child care:
* On June 1, International Children's Day, the company provided assistance to 14 children with disabilities in the village of Kyzyemshek.
* As part of the annual “Road to School” campaign, on September 1, SMCC provided charitable assistance to orphans, half-orphans, as well as children from single-parent and low-income families.
* Targeted social assistance:
* The company provided financial assistance to 29 socially vulnerable families in the villages of Kyzyemshek and Taikonur, paying off their heating debts.
* Support was provided to students of the T. Mombekov School in Taikonyr, including 9 half-orphans and 2 children with disabilities.
* Support for the elderly: On the International Day of Elderly Persons, October 1, the company provided financial assistance to pensioners who previously worked for SMCC.
* New Year's gifts: On New Year's Eve, 350 people, including children and adults from low-income families, received New Year's gifts. Among them were 9 disabled children, 2 orphans and 35 adults.
Work completed and planned until the end of 2025
In 2025, SMCC planned to allocate KZT 14,600,000 for social projects, having already begun their implementation.
* Beginning of the year:
* In honor of March 8, charitable assistance was provided to mothers with the Altyn Alka and Kumis Alka badges.
* By May 9, assistance was provided to 4 veterans of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, the Tajik-Afghan and Afghan wars.
* On June 1, charitable assistance was provided to 14 children with disabilities.
* Current and future projects:
* Targeted assistance: Charitable assistance was provided to a child with cerebral palsy, Karakat Nurbolkyzy Magauiya.
* Support for social institutions: Two washing machines were purchased for the Koksayek Center for the Provision of Special Social Services No. 3.
* Environmental and educational initiatives: The company donated laptops to two winners of a drawing competition dedicated to World Environment Day.
* Road to School campaign: It is planned to continue the annual campaign to help schoolchildren.
* Day of the Elderly: By October 1, social support will be provided to pensioners and veterans of the company.
* Debt repayment: It is planned to provide financial assistance to socially vulnerable families to pay off their heating debts.
* New Year's campaign: New Year's gifts will be given to children from low-income families.
* Additional support: The company will continue to provide charitable and sponsorship assistance to residents of the village of Kyzyemshek at the request of the Akimat and public organizations.
SMCC confirms its commitment to social responsibility and intends to continue contributing to the well-being of society.
